Delete your DployHub account and all apps
Learn what deleting your DployHub account removes, what happens to unpaid invoices, and how to stop or remove single apps instead if that is all you need.
Updated 2 min read
You can delete your DployHub account yourself at any time from account settings. Deleting is permanent and removes every app you own, so read what it does first, and consider the lighter options below if you only want to stop paying for something.
What deleting your account removes
- All of your apps, including both their staging and live environments.
- The data stored with those apps, including everything in each app's
/datapersistent storage. - Your environment variables, custom domain settings, deployments and logs.
- Your login. You will be signed out and cannot sign back in to the account.
What stays
Unpaid invoices remain payable after you delete your account. If you have used resources this month, that usage is still billed. Check your billing page and settle open invoices before deleting, and download any invoices you need for your records. See spend limits and invoices.
Before you delete
- 1
Back up your data
Copy anything you need from
/data, such as uploads or SQLite files, and export your databases. - 2
Save your configuration
Note down any environment variables you will need elsewhere. Values are masked until you click Reveal.
- 3
Update DNS
Remove or repoint the CNAME records for your custom domains so they do not point at a deleted app.
- 4
Check billing
Pay or download open invoices from the billing page.
Delete your account
- 1
Open account settings
Go to account settings in the dashboard.
- 2
Find Delete account
Scroll to the delete account section.
- 3
Confirm
Type
DELETEand enter your password, then confirm. Your apps and their data are removed and you are signed out.
If you cannot log in to delete the account, first try a password reset.
Lighter alternatives
You may not need to delete everything:
- Stop live on an app you are not using. A stopped live environment is not billed for those hours, and you can Start it again later.
- Shrink resources in Settings → Resources to lower the monthly price. See resources.
- Set a monthly spend limit so new changes that would go over it are held back.
- Staging is free, so leaving it in place costs nothing.
