How billing works: hourly pricing with GST examples

DployHub bills live apps by the hour from simple monthly rates, adds 18% GST, and sends one invoice a month. Worked examples show exactly what you pay.

DployHub pricing is simple: you pay only for the live environment of each app, by the hour, based on the resources you chose. Staging is free. There are no plans or seats to pick. This page shows the formula and works through real examples so you can predict your bill exactly.

The rates

  • ₹300 per vCPU per month.
  • ₹150 per GB of memory per month.
  • ₹6 per GB of storage per month.

The monthly price of an app is:

monthly = vCPU × 300 + (memory MB ÷ 1024) × 150 + storage GB × 6
hourly  = monthly ÷ 730

A month is counted as 730 hours. You are billed for the hours live is running, and GST at 18% is added on the invoice.

Worked example: a small API

An app on the default size of 0.5 vCPU, 512 MB memory and 5 GB storage, running all month:

Memory   (512 ÷ 1024) × 150 = ₹75.00
Storage  5 × 6              = ₹30.00
Monthly                     = ₹255.00
Hourly   255 ÷ 730          ≈ ₹0.35 per hour
GST 18%  255 × 0.18         = ₹45.90
Total                       = ₹300.90

Worked example: part of a month

An app on 1 vCPU, 1 GB memory and 10 GB storage costs ₹300 + ₹150 + ₹60 = ₹510 per month, or ₹510 ÷ 730 ≈ ₹0.70 per hour. If you create it halfway through the month and it runs for 365 hours:

Worked example: two apps

A shop on 2 vCPU, 2 GB, 20 GB (₹600 + ₹300 + ₹120 = ₹1,020) and a blog on 0.25 vCPU, 256 MB, 1 GB (₹75 + ₹37.50 + ₹6 = ₹118.50), both running the full month:

What is not billed

  • Staging environments, which are always free.
  • Hours when live is stopped. Stop live from the app page and billing pauses until you start it again.
  • Builds and deploys. You pay for running hours, not for build minutes.

Where to see your costs

The Billing page shows your month-to-date spend, a forecast for the full month, the cost of each app, and your invoices. One invoice is issued per month with a line for each app, for example "shop — live · 1 vCPU · 1 GB RAM · 10 GB storage" with the quantity in hours. Frequently asked questions

Is GST included in the prices?

No. Prices are before GST. 18% GST is added on the invoice.

Am I charged for staging?

No. Staging is free. Only running live hours are billed.

How is a partial month charged?

By the hour. The hourly rate is the monthly price divided by 730, times the hours live ran.
